Special/Advanced Functions:

The Key to using these functions is that the item in question must first be produced! The following Links will prove helpful in this regard: 

Create a Pop Up 
Create a Slide Show 

Once you have produced the item you may proceed. 

To Link to a Pop Up:
1. Select the Text or Object on the page which is to become the link by highlighting it with your mouse or cursor.
2. Click: , (the Special Functions Icon).
3. Click "Link to a Pop-up window.
4. Select the Pop Up Page to which you wish to Link by clicking on it, (the name will highlight in yellow when selected).
5. Alternately; you may enter the URL of a Pop Up
6. Accept the default settings for the Pop Up, or modify them as desired:

Opening Height of Pop Up: in Pixels
Opening Width of Pop Up: in Pixels
Display Toolbar in Pop Up: Yes/No
Display Menubar in Pop Up: Yes/No
Dispaly Scrollbars in Pop Up: Yes/No
Allow Resizable Pop Up by User: Yes/No
Display Location/URL in Pop Up: Yes/No
Display Statusbar in Pop Up: Yes/No
Open new pop-up or replace an existing one: New/Replace

Very Important Note: These properties are only setable/modifiable when the Link to Pop Up is performed, they are not properties of the Pop Up itself, rather, they are properties which are determined in the Linking process. So, to change any of these properties of an exisiting Pop Up Link one must delete the exisiting Link to the Pop Up from the page and then re-Link it, following these steps.

7. Click the "   Link to Selected   " Button to finish.

Note: As with any kind of Link within the VSM editor; Save your page, then preview to check your Pop Up Link!

To Insert a Slide Show: 
1. Place your cursor on the page where you wish to insert the Slide Show.
2. Click: , (the Special Functions Icon).
3. Click "Insert a Slide Show".
4. Select the Slide Show Page that you wish to insert by clicking on it, (the name will highlight in yellow when selected).
5. Accept the default settings for the Slide Show, or modify them as desired:

Frame Delay for Slides: Seconds, (from 1-12)
Manual/Auto 
Start Random Yes/No

Very Important Note: These properties are only settable/modifiable when the insertion is performed, they are not properties of the Slide Show itself, rather, they are properties which are determined in the insertion process. So, to change any of these properties of an exisiting slide show, one must delete the slide show from the page and then re-insert it, following these steps.

6. Click the "    Insert Slide   " Button to finish.

Note: As with any kind of Link within the VSM editor; Save your page, then preview see your slide show in action!
