Note: Only JPG and GIF Images can be uploaded. Many Document File Types are supported, including; .pub, .doc, .xls, pdf, .wav, .mpeg, and others.
To Upload an Image:

Click on the Images/Documents button above the toolbar. The Document and Image Library and Upload dialog box will appear:

Ensure the appropriate Library Destination is selected: Pages or Template.

Click the Browse button.

Navigate to the image on your hard drive. Use either the details view to ensure you are selecting the correct image, and/or use the thumbnails view to greatly ease selecting the correct image.

Click the file name or thumbnail. The path and image name will populate the browse display window.

Click the Upload Button.

The Saving Image dialog will appear to indicate the image is being uploaded.

Image Resize: For JPG Images only: the Dynamic Image Resizer will automatically Launch as soon as the image is acquired, (it can take a long time for large image files). (For GIF Images the resize does not launch).

The Image Resize will appear to enable you to proportionally resize the JPG, and enable you to create a standardized Thumbnail Image. Use the provided scale display and guide to help make your size determination.

To resize the image, enter the desired Width, then click the Resize button. Note: (Never enlarge an image with the resizer)

In addition, you can elect to create a standard thumbnail image by placing a check in the box.

Then; Either, 4.1 Click Save Resized Image(s), which will cause the main image to be resized and save the Thumbnail, if selected. or 4.2 Click Continue without Resizing.
Congratulations! Your Image is uploaded. You will again be presented with the Upload Image Dialog Box, where you can now find your uploaded, (resized, if chosen and thumbnail, if created) Image!
You can highlight the Image file name to see a preview of the Image. You can Click on the Preview to Launch a separate Browser Window, which will render the image in its uploaded size. You can now go directly to a page and use the Insert Image Function to add the image and/or its thumbnail to a page!

Multiple Image Upload:
For those with VSM Pro, and Enterprise solutions, the Upload Multiple Images? feature will be visible.
1. Click on Upload Multiple Images? to upload multiple images.
2. Click Add to Browse your hard drive.
3. Highlight to select the image files.
4. Click Open to load files to be uploaded.
5. Cick Start Upload to begin transferring files into your library.
6. Watch the file transfer progress monitor. Click OK on the "Transfer Complete" Pop Up.
7. View the transfer report.
8. Reset XFile to continue additional Multiple Uploads. Then repeat steps 2-7.
9. Click on Images/Documents to review your updated Library.

On Line Image Editor:
(As of this writing the on line image editor has two capabilities; grayscale and resize. Furthermore it operates only on .jpg images.)
To invoke the On-Line Image Editor:
1. Click on the green arrow icon, , to the left of the image name.
2. The Editor will appear and load the selected image.
3. Edit and Save the Image as follows:
3.1 Grayscale: To make a image a grayscale version, click the Grayscale, icon.
Save the image by clicking the Save, icon.
Rename the image if you wish to retain the original.
3.2 Resize: Click the Resize, icon to launch the On Line Resizer.
Enter the Desired New Width, (in Pixels), in the Box. The resizer will automatically populate the Resized Width and Height proportionally.
You can preview before you apply the change.
Save the image by clicking the Save, icon.
Rename the image if you wish to retain the original.
Note: The Image Editor conveniently keeps the most recent 9 working edits as you proceed. This enables you to return to any of the prior 9 edit stages simply by clicking on the appropriate thumbnail. The original is also retained as you proceed. You can return to the original at any point. And, as noted above, you can save any version of your edited image as well as keeping the original by simply renaming the edited version.

To Upload a Document:

Click on the Images/Documents button above the toolbar.
The Document and Image Library and Upload dialog box will appear:

Click on 'Documents" to Ensure the appropriate Library Destination is selected, Documents will turn to yellow text to indicate it is selected.

Click the Browse button.

Navigate to the file on your hard drive.

Click the file name. The path and filename will populate the browse display window.

Click the Upload Button.
