The Span Column function provides the ability to extend the horizontal span of a cell in a table to inlcude the adjacent cell to the right of the selected cell.

1. Place the cursor in the cell of the table which is to merge with the adjacent column.
2. Click the Span Column Icon in the toolbar. The span is immdiately made.

Note: You can continue to span columns to cover as many of the columns in a table as desired.

Important: The Contents of the cell being incorporated are captured and merged into the contents of the selected cell.
