Multi Level Navigation

VSM has an intuitive and powerful Navigation Manager, giving you unprecedented ease of use and control over your website structure.

Clicking the plus icon allows you to add a selected page from the available pages to the navigation structure.  The page will be added as a child to the page with the .  Select the  at the top where it says, "::Insert at Root Level::" to add the page as a root page.

Note: Only pages designated as "included in navigation" are displayed in the Available Pages.

Clicking on the  will remove the page from the navigation structure and return it to the available pages.  Any children of the removed page will migrate to the next available parent above the removed page.

Clicking the  arrow will move the given page up in the navigation order within the hierarchy level.

Clicking the  will move the given page down in the navigation order within the hierarchy level.

 

When you have finished arranging the Navigation, and you are ready to make the changes available to the public,
Click the 'Save Navigation' button.

View your Published Site with the public Site View  to see your updated Navigation

NOTE: Only saved, designated & published pages will display in the navigation.
Pages will display in the Navigation if:

1.
They were built with their Properties set to "Display in Navigation"
2. They have been included in the Navigation structure
3. They are published!

Manage Nav only Links
VSM's Multi Level Navigation structure includes a 'Nav only Links' Feature.

To Create and Use a 'Nav Only Link':
1. Go to the Navigation Utility
2. Click on the Manage Nav Only Links Button
3. Click 'Create External Link'
4. Name the Link
5. Insert External URL, if desired
6. Save the Link
7. Return to Navigation 'Overview'
8. Insert the Nav Only Link as desired
9. Click "Save Navigation"

Your site and Templates are all updated and published to the web!

View your Published Site with the public Site View  to see your New Navigation
